Frequently Asked Questions
If you have more questions as you move through the process, we're here to help! You can contact Jen or Ruth (Doodlebug assistant) through email@example.com or text.
When do we get more pictures?
We know that pictures of the puppies are a highlight for all of our families. This is the reason that we make sure to provide regular photo updates. Each litter has a “birth announcement” picture, and then pictures are taken from there. We do not have a scheduled day every week that we take pictures, but we will get them done! As the puppies get older, we are spending more time on their potty training, vet appointments, etc., so we work pictures in around those things.
How can we view pictures?
Many times we post pictures on our social media pages (Facebook and Instagram), and give little updates on how the babies are doing. If we do not add new pictures to Facebook, then we will send updated pictures to you personally when they are available.
Can I visit my puppy before pick--up day?
We are very careful to protect our babies until they are vaccinated. All of our puppies have families, and we feel it’s our responsibility to protect each of these little Doodlebugs. We do not allow outside visitors until they are ready to go home. If we expose one puppy to something, we expose them all, so we have made the decision to limit their outside contact.
When is my puppy due for their next round of shots?
We take the puppies to our vet at 6 weeks old for their first round of vaccinations. They are due to go to your vet for their next set of shots at 10 weeks old (4 weeks after their first set). Their vaccination record is included in their puppy pack.
What is included in my puppy pack?
Vaccination records from our vet
A soft bone
A sample of puppy food
When is my balance due?
For those using transportation, you can pay with check or Venmo. Please note that an additional 2.75% fee will be added if you choose to use the payment protection option. If you are picking up in person, you can pay your balance with cash, check and Venmo. We will provide more information regarding your balance and payment due dates in a separate email.
